Two concerts at ITEC 2004 in Budapest

19.07.2004 - Two concerts at ITEC 2004 in Budapest. A recital plus the Jukka Linkola Euphonium Concerto on July 20-25.

The International Tuba Euphonium Conference 2004 (ITEC) will take place at the Liszt Academy in Budapest, Hungary hosted by tubist János Mazura. I’m invited to be a member of the Artist Euphonium jury, to perform a recital and to be a soloist in the last evening concert with symphony orchestra. On the recital Thursday 22nd of July I’ll perform the following programme:   Béla Bartók, arr. Geir Davidsen: Rumäniche Volkstänze Pete Meechan: Absolute Reality Wolfgang Plagge: Sonata for Euphonium & Piano op. 64 Ermano Picchi, arr. Simone Mantia: Fantaisie Originale   In the evening concert of Saturday July 24 I’ll be the soloist in the fabolous Euphonium Concerto by Jukka Linkola accompanied by the Ventoscala Youth Orchestra.
