With his third solo recording From the Deep, Tormod Flaten clearly established himself at the forefront of international euphonium soloists.

Until 2007 Tormod was the principal euphonium player with the famous Norwegian brass band Eikanger-Bjørsvik. His first solo albums Flight and Norwegian Euphonium were released to massive critical praise. Tormod has been acting as a Besson performing artist and clinician since 2002.

Tormod's dedication to new music is demonstrated through the establishment of his own publishing company Fundamental Music, with an extensive catalogue of sheet music for euphonium.
